Police Chief Pol. Gen. Kitrat Panphet visited and provided support to a border patrol officer injured during duty at the Thailand-Cambodia border. On January 30, 2024, Pol. Gen. Kitrat Panphet, accompanied by Kanokwan Panphet, President of the Police Wives Association, visited Sergeant Udom Uan Phui from Border Patrol Unit 22, who was injured during border duty at Ton Sai Base in Si Sa Ket Province. The sergeant was hit by an explosion fragment in the head and is currently being treated in the ICU at Police Hospital. Pol. Gen. Kitrat spoke with Sergeant Udom's family, assuring them not to worry. He emphasized that the National Police Office will fully support the rights and welfare of those who sacrifice for the nation. "We will never leave anyone alone because we are one family," he stated. The police chief also noted that the hospital's medical staff would provide full medical care. Additionally, the police chief and the Police Wives Association president provided financial assistance to the sergeant's family to help with initial support. Meanwhile, Pol. Lt. Gen. Trirong Ployphan, a consultant for the Phra Rahu Foundation, also visited Sergeant Udom and provided support, including financial assistance from the foundation for police officers injured in the line of duty.
