Tragic Fireworks Factory Explosion Near Famous Temple in Suphan Buri: 1 Dead, 3 Injured

On January 30, 2024, reporters were informed that the Nen Kaew Highway Rescue Association in Suphan Buri received an emergency call about a fireworks factory explosion behind Dong Krachao Temple in Rai Rot Subdistrict, Don Chedi District, Suphan Buri Province. Volunteer rescue teams are currently mobilizing to the incident site. Initial reports indicate the explosion occurred around 07:52 AM, resulting in one house being damaged, three people injured, and one person killed. The cause is currently under investigation. The Suphan Buri Provincial Governor has ordered relevant agencies and the Regional Disaster Prevention Center to support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) in the area. Residents in nearby districts of Don Chedi, U Thong, and Mueang Suphan Buri all heard the thunderous explosion near Dong Krachao Temple. Locals captured images of a massive smoke plume rising into the sky. Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams must first clear the area before a detailed investigation can begin.
