17-Year-Old Arrested for Fatal Motorcycle Shooting in Phetchaburi
On January 29, 2026, a tragic shooting unfolded on Phetkasem Road in Phetchaburi province when a 17-year-old boy on a dirt bike shot and killed a 23-year-old local resident named Thanarat Wonglai.
At approximately 8:00 PM, Khao Yoi police station received an alert about the shooting on the inbound carriageway. Investigators found the victim's grey-and-black Honda PCX 150 motorcycle abandoned by the roadside. Thanarat had been shot six times in the abdomen and once in the right elbow with a 9mm handgun.
Witnesses reported that two teenage males on a red dirt bike followed the victim, signaled him to stop, and then one of them opened fire.
